Valet is a remote-control app for your own home-automation processor. It is built so that there is nothing to have a privacy policy about — but here is one anyway.
Valet collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no cloud service. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
Everything Valet stores — device names, button layout, alert rules, your processor's address, and its shared secret — stays on your devices, inside the app's own storage. The shared secret is kept in the iOS Keychain. If you use iCloud device backups, this data is included in your backup like any other app's data; the developer has no access to it.
Valet makes exactly one kind of network connection: directly from your device to the home-automation processor address you configure, on your own network or your own VPN. The optional demo mode connects only to a simulator running inside the app on your device.
Alerts are local notifications generated on your device. Siri and Shortcuts requests are handled on-device through Apple's App Intents. CarPlay and Apple Watch display the same locally stored information.
If a future version of Valet ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
