Valet pairs with the free Valet Bridge driver running on an RTI XP-series control processor. Your integrator installs the driver, sets a port and shared secret in its Driver Properties, and wires your systems to the driver's buttons and status values. In the app's Settings tab, enter the processor's address, port, and the same secret.
Open the Settings tab and tap Try the Demo — a fully simulated house that exercises every feature, including CarPlay.
The app says "connecting" forever. Check the address and port against Driver Properties, and that your phone is on the same network as the processor (or your VPN is on).
Authentication error. The shared secret differs between the app and Driver Properties — re-enter it on both sides; watch for accidental trailing spaces.
Buttons don't appear in CarPlay. Mark them "Show in CarPlay" in the app; CarPlay shows up to 8 buttons and 12 status rows.
Away from home? Valet works over your own VPN (for example Tailscale). The app deliberately has no cloud service.
